Edinburgh airport information
Edinburgh airport was opened in 1977, Edinburgh Airport is located just to the west of Scotland's capital city and is within easy access to the country's main road network, reaching the whole of central Scotland and beyond.
In addition to frequent public transport connections to the city centre, there is a dedicated taxi service.
The coach park facility, with covered passenger walkways, is located at the east end of the terminal building.This off-road facility has been designed to accept pre-arranged and ad-hoc coach and bus operations for the setting down and picking up of passengers only. A coach and bus parking area is provided towards the long stay car park.

Edinburgh Aiport Train Service
Edinburgh's main railway station (Waverley) is in the city centre and can be reached by taxi or bus. From here there are services to Glasgow and a variety of other destinations in Scotland and England. Most train services also operate from Edinburgh Haymarket station which is on the main bus route between the airport and city centre.
Edinburgh Airport Bus or Coach Service
Public service bus stops are located at stand 18 on the terminal forecourt road outside the UK arrivals hall.
There is an express bus service to Edinburgh city centre (number 100) which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The ticket cost is currently £3.40 single, £5.00 return. Tickets can be brought from an onward travel desk in the UK arrivals hall, the airport information desk in the International arrivals hall, or on the bus itself. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes and terminates at Waverley Bridge, near to the main railway station and bus station and is just off the city's main street, Princes Street. The frequency of the service is from every 10 minutes at peak times through the day, to every 30 minutes at night.
A new bus service, number 35 operates from Ocean Terminal (east of the City Centre) via City Centre, Edinburgh Park Station to Edinburgh Airport. It operates from the bus stand in front of the Airlink bus stop to the City Centre and runs a 20-minute service departing Ocean Terminal at 05:04 hours and arriving at Edinburgh Airport at 06:02 hours. It operates from Edinburgh Airport from 06:05 hours until 23:50 hours Monday to Friday with a reduced service operating on Saturday and Sunday.
