Glasgow Airport Information

Glasgow Airport is the busiest of Scotland's three main international airports, handling over 7.9 million passengers a year.

It lies eight miles to the west of Glasgow city and is within easy reach of the rest of Scotland. Principal access is off junction 28 of the M8 motorway.

The airport is served with a range of transport options. Key bus routes have recently been upgraded to improve service quality and frequency. There are frequent rail connections to Glasgow and the Ayrshire Coast from Paisley Gilmour Street station.

Glasgow Airport is a founding member of one of Scotland's first Quality Transport Partnerships and we are dedicated to improving public transport to and from the airport.

Glasgow Airport Road Links

The M8 Motorway via Junction 28 gives easy access to and from the airport. The airport is about 20 minutes drive from Glasgow City Centre and about two minutes from Paisley, the nearest town. You can drop off passengers outside the terminal building, but if you want to see them off please use one of the car parks.

Check-in is located in the middle of the ground floor concourse. Domestic arrivals is located on the right of the ground floor concourse and international arrivals is on the left of the ground floor concourse.
