Hotel chain Marriott, who provides accommodation to travellers at airports across the UK, has announced that it will make its rewards for regular visitors even greater.

In a new partnership, customers using a Marriott International Inc. hotel in one of 64 countries can earn Air France/KLM Flying Blue miles, bringing the total of airline options for Marriott Rewards members to 26.

Marriott Rewards points may be redeemed for hotel stays, frequent flyer miles, car rentals, theme park passes, retail merchandise and more. As a guide, 10,000 Marriott Rewards Points equals 1,500 miles and customers usually get two points per every £1 spent in a Marriott Hotel.

There are more than 2,500 participating hotels in 64 countries, and Marriott Rewards claims that it enables customers to obtain their reward 30 per cent faster than with other leading programs.

Marriott Rewards has been named "Best Hotel Rewards Program in the World" by Business Traveller magazine for the past eight years.

Marriott airport hotels include London Gatwick, London Heathrow and Manchester.
