Hotel giant Ibis is doing its bit to support sports teams around the world by offering athletes a healthier stay when they travel.

For Olympians in training and people who travel to compete across the globe, the Vitabis programme could not only save sports teams money at airport hotels, but can keep them healthy too.

Vitabis offers athletes balanced meals, with "light" meals, designed especially for athletes, available from £11. If a conference room is available, teams can use it to review their game strategy and teams will also receive preferential room rates.

Anyone who travels on weekends as a member of a sports club or federation to take part in a sporting event, can benefit from the Vitabis program including players as well as trainers, coaches, team doctors, managers and referees. Proof of eligibility is required such as an official sports club or federation membership card or confirmation of participation in sporting event.

Ibis is situated at Gatwick, Heathrow and Luton airports and rates start from just £14.50 for a single room, and £29 for a double.
