Flyglobespan has announced that it will be running a new service from Stansted to Tenerife and Geneva.

The web-based airline has said that flights to Tenerife will commence in November from £49.99 including all taxes.

Airport hotels can easily be booked online at the same time, making the planning of a holiday even more cheap and hassle free.

The Geneva route will start just before Christmas with prices as low as £29.99 including taxes and the new routes mark the first time that flyglobespan has flown out of an airport other than Edinburgh or Glasgow.

'We will be giving the Stansted catchment area their first daily service to an all-year-round resort. Our take off and landings times are ideal and our prices very, very competitive,' said flyglobespan chairman Tom Dalrymple.

The anticipated popularity of the service could make pre-booking your airport hotel advisable and Stansted boasts an array of impressive accommodation.

Flyglobespan launched in April 2002 . It is one of Britain’s fastest growing airlines and anticipates to sell 1.5 million seats this year.
