Manchester Airport has today announced that two new routes are to commence from the airport in the spring.

Low-cost airline bmibaby is to fly to Newquay from the north England hub, starting in March, and Air Southwest will begin flying to Cardiff in April.

John Spooner, the airport's managing director, commented: 'Domestic travel is stronger than ever.

'The launch of these flights shows that more and more people are choosing the benefits of air travel over long journeys by road and rail.'

With these new flights, Manchester will now serve 20 domestic destinations and the latest passenger figures show that the number of travellers using the hub is increasing.

Manchester boasts an extensive range of airport hotel accommodation.

Ideal for business travellers, or families who would like to relax before their trip, Manchester offers ample airport hotel facilities.
