Following its successful launch, MAXjet airways has announced that it plans to expand the routes and services it offers in early 2006.

February will see the airline launch its second route from Stansted to Washington Dulles International Airport

'Our load factor levels and customer reaction to our product has been overwhelmingly positive and encouraging,' says Gary Rogliano, chief executive officer of MAXjet.

'People are thanking me everyday for creating an airline that finally makes sense for consumers. That is why MAXjet is pleased to proceed with its plans to add aircraft, routes and customer service offerings.'

Since starting flights between New York's JFK Airport and London Stansted on November 1st, the service has been so popular that the carrier is to add a Saturday night flight and fly seven times a week to the States.

It also plans to launch a customer loyalty scheme in 2006.
