Conrad Hotels and Resorts is launching it's first European hotel location, just ten kilometers from the Faro International Airport.

The new Portuguese property is not expected to be open for business until 2010. However plans reveal that there will be 158 rooms available when it does.

The resort will be on a mixed development site and will offer more than just hotel rooms. Several dining establishments are included in the plan, which will serve both traditional Portuguese cuisine as well as classic international fare.

The resort will have swimming pools as well as a health club and a spa covering 1,500 square meters.

Conrad Hotels are part of the Hilton Family hotel chain and as such they share the standards of the well known luxury brand. Conrad hotels strive to be luxurious, contemporary and original in their designs and decor.

Faro has long been a popular destination for travelers from the UK, with a large number of budget airlines and charter flights linking the two regions. London Gatwick has the largest number of operators with flights to Faro. British Airways, Easyjet, First Choice Airways, Monarch, and Thomas Cook are just some of the airlines with flights to Faro from London.
