Langham Hotels International is getting ready for the Olympics in Beijing after recently signing a contract for their second hotel in Beijing. The Langham Place Beijing Capital Airport Hotel is scheduled to open just before the beginning of the Summer Olympic Games in the middle of 2008.

The new hotel will be located just next to the airport's Terminal 3. With five-star accommodations, the hotel will provide luxury accommodation to business guests and international travelers.

"Beijing will become the center of the world's attention when the city hosts the summer Olympic Games next year. The huge number of visitors and substantial media attention will provide the perfect platform and golden opportunity for launching our new luxury Langham Place brand in China," said Dr. KS Lo, Chairman, Langham Hotels International.

The new hotel will have over 400 bedrooms and suites spaced out over six floors full of elegant art and the latest technology. The hotel will have its own beer house and fun pub as well as restaurants serving Chinese, Japanese cuisine and an all day buffet.

In addition, the Chuan Spa will offer traditional Chinese medicinal treatments. For children, a water park covering 5,000 square meters will offer enough fun and entertainment.

"Langham Place's unique modern brand identity, together with our innovative Total Quality Management (TQM), will change the face of Beijing's luxury hotel industry and add a new definition of contemporary hospitality to airport hotels," said Dr. KS Lo.

An expected 1.7 million tourists are expected to visit Beijing during the Olympics in 2008 according to reports from the Hong Kong media. Already an increasing number of Britons are making the trip to China and thousands more will make the journey during the Olympics.
