Western Hotel Partners have begun construction of two new Hampton Inn & Suites hotels in the vicinity of McCarran International Airport. The projects, at a total cost of $50 million, will add 274 guest rooms to this rapidly-developing area of Las Vegas.

Hampton Inn is a Hilton brand, which currently enjoys a 90 percent occupancy rate, on average, throughout the greater Las Vegas area. Southern Nevada features six Hampton Inn & Suites. The chain comprises over 1,400 hotels across the country, having a total of 145,000 guest rooms.

One of the two new properties under construction is located at the south-west corner of Sunset Road and Eastern Avenue. It is a 77,000 square foot, four-story, 129-room hotel situated on over three acres. The hotel was designed by Indigo Architecture and will open in December of this year.

The other new Hampton Inn is located at the south-east corner of Grier Drive and Sunset Road. It is an 86,000 square foot, four-story, 145-room hotel, with construction to begin later this year. Situated on just over three acres, and also designed by Indigo Architecture, the property will open for guests in late 2009.

Both Hampton Inns feature meeting rooms, fitness centers and outdoor pools, and guest rooms are equipped for high-speed Internet access. Weekday rates will range from $120 to $140.
