Hilton brand coming to Bristol airport

Beginning in December of this year, the Cadbury House Hotel in Congresbury will become known as the Doubletree by Hilton Cadbury House Hotel, Health Club and Spa. The Doubletree logo, which is displayed by some of the world’s most exclusive hotels and resorts, will appear at the property’s entrance.

The rebranded hotel’s proximity to Bristol Airport is expected to help it draw more US visitors, who are familiar with the Hilton brand, providing a welcome boost to the local economy.

Doubletree was launched as a brand in the UK just 12 months ago, and to date there are only four other Doubletree by Hilton hotels operating, and no other located in the South West. The number of hotels in the UK is expected to exceed 20 by the end of next year.

The ownership and management of the four-star Congresbury hotel will remain unchanged, and the property’s co-owner and managing director, Nick Taplin, has commented that it is an exciting time for him and others involved.

Taplin said: “This is a real coup for Cadbury House and raises the standard for hoteliers across the region.”
