Radisson Hotels have overtaken Hilton and Marriot to become Europe’s number one. The Radisson brand is the largest in the continent, with more than 38,000 rooms in 170 hotels. It has now also been named number one in MKG Hospitality’s list of the Top 10 Upscale Brands in Europe.

The senior vice president of marketing, sales and distribution of Radisson Oliver Jacquin said their lead poll position is a result of ambitious and strategic business development and creative marketing campaigns. The Radisson Blu brand, formally known as Radisson SAS, is also known for having innovative, contemporary architecture at their modern hotels, such as a round, glass facade in Frankfurt and a wine tower in the lobby in Paris.

Other features of the chain include espresso machines in all Business Class rooms, state of the art conference centres, high-speed in-room internet access and a three-hour express laundry service. Radisson also has hotels at many international airports and spa facilities in popular holiday resorts such as Croatia, Turkey and Tunisia.

Still to come from the brand is the Radisson Royal Hotel Moscow, also known as Hotel Ukraina, which is due to open next month. The hotel will boast over 500 rooms and 38 luxury apartments and will make up part of the legendary ‘Seven Sisters’ Soviet skyscrapers.
