Heathrow’s Terminal 5 has a new hotel and spa run by Hilton. The lavish new complex officially opened its doors on 31 August with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by 200 hotel staff and led by the hotel’s general manager, Greg Place.

Mr Place announced the official launch of the T5 Hilton, saying the hotel was delighted to welcome guests to its new upscale Hilton hotel at the doorstep to Heathrow’s Terminal 5. He went on to say that the facility would provide the world-famous Hilton service to leisure and business travellers at Heathrow airport.

Mr Place also explained how the new hotel would be supporting the area’s demand for large-scale conferences and events. He said this was a very exciting time for the company to launch Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5.

Hilton opened the first airport hotel in the world in 1959. Mr Place added how Heathrow’s latest Hilton hotel was looking forward to continuing the brand’s expertise and greeting guests to experience the great facilities available at the latest addition to the company’s portfolio.

The new Hilton hotel is less than a mile from Heathrow airport’s Terminal 5 and is the airport’s second Hilton hotel. It has 350 en-suite guestrooms, each of which offers a 37-inch high-definition TV, triple glazed windows, wireless internet access and workspace areas.

The hotel sits on a 13-acre property on Poyle Road in the Berkshire community of Colnbrook. Mr Todiwala’s Kitchen is the hotel’s signature restaurant and offers a hearty Indian menu by Cyrus Todiwala, the celebrity chef known for Cafe Spice Namaste in central London.
