Staybridge Suites opens Beirut property

London-based IHG Hotels has launched its newest Staybridge Suites property in the Lebanese capital.

According to a press release published on Wednesday, the 121-room hotel is now officially open for business on Verdun Street in central Beirut. InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) officials said in the release that the new property offers convenient access to several major universities including the American University of Beirut (AUB), as well as to the bustling seafront promenade.

The launch also marks the entrance of the Staybridge Suites brand name into the Lebanese market.

All suites in the property feature 32-inch televisions, kitchenettes and spacious work areas. The hotel also offers a number of onsite amenities including a fitness room, complimentary wifi access, underground parking and a swimming pool, according to the release.

Ihab Kanawati, general manager of Staybridge Suites Beirut, said in a statement that the hotel was glad to finally open its doors and bring brand’s famous comforts to the city of Beirut. He went on to add that business and leisure guests alike will thoroughly enjoy top-notch facilities including the rooftop swimming pool and functional apartment-style suites.
