The Woman in Black

The Woman in Black

Based on the atmospheric horror story by Susan Hill, the stage version of The Woman in Black has been chilling audiences since 1989. A solicitor, Arthur Kripps, is called to the small town of Crythin Gifford where his duty is to attend the funeral of an elderly lady, Mrs Drablow. The widow Drablow lived a solitary life in Eel Marsh House, surrounded by marshes frequently cut off by rising tides.

Things are, naturally, not what they appear to be and it seems that the whole town is unwilling to divulge the secrets of the old lady, her sister and the Woman in Black. A tragic storyline brilliantly performed by a small cast that will have you reaching for the smelling salts!
