Stansted airport has just relaunched its business forum, attended by over 120 business leaders.

The forum aims to boost business and enterprise in the east of England, placing itself at the centre of the region's economy in three key areas.

It will try to to facilitate greater inward investment in the region, help boost tourism, and will strive to highlight business opportunities for local companies at the airport.

Mark Pendlington, Stansted’s director of the airport’s business links, said: "This ground-breaking Business Forum has important work to do. This event injects fresh energy and purpose into the way the business community and Stansted airport work closely together."

He said that the airport would be working with local chambers of commerce, the CBI, the IOD, Business Links, tourism authorities and many others to "drive forward work on inward investment and tourism".

Stansted also offers two airport hotels, the Hilton National Hotel and Radisson SAS Hotel for businessmen wanting a convenient overnight stay.
