The InterContinental group has announced plans to open a Holiday Inn hotel at Manchester Airport as part of a new expansion programme.

The Holiday Inn brand has proved popular with consumers this year, and has created increased revenues per room of 5.2 per cent in the first quarter this year.

Its airport accommodation is an extremely useful service for travellers, and is placed at a variety of airports across the UK including Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Bristol, and Glasgow.

As well as a room for the night and breakfast in the morning (which means no dirty dishes to wash) the Holiday Inn offers holidaymakers a park and fly package.

When customers book a room at the hotel, they receive up to 15 nights free airport parking.

The hotel also caters for business travellers, and runs two special business packages, Meetings Network, and the Academy, which are tailored specifically for travelling executives.
