It says the move will allow travellers to view the most recent bargains and cheapest flights.

The facility is updated every weekday, and the company says that now over 50 per cent of customers use it when booking flights online.

Monarch flies from airports around the UK including: Aberdeen, Birmingham, Blackpool, London Gatwick, Luton and Manchester.

When customers are booking online flights, it is also simple and convenient to search for airport hotel accommodation at the same time.

Taking an airport hotel room usually means there is no last minute rush to get to the airport as guests are already on site, making them ideal for early morning or late night flights.

At the time of going to press, Monarch was offering a one-way ticket from Gatwick to Alicante for £34.99 (including taxes) and one-way fares from Manchester to Barcelona for the same price, subject to availability.
