bmi has announced that it is to launch non-stop flights from London Heathrow to Mumbai next year.

Only a few months ago, bmi launched a four-times-weekly service from London to Mumbai, and the new service will commence from April next year, as part of bmi's plan to provide an excellent service to India's financial capital.

Since the open skies agreement between India and other international airlines has come into force, the amount of flights from the UK into India has shot up from 18 to 50 flights per week and bmi says that it is committed to providing low-fare flights to India.

London Heathrow offers travellers a range of airport hotel accommodation and airport parking.

Taking an airport hotel before travelling allows extra time to get ready for a flight, because they are already at the airport.

Some Heathrow airport accommodation boasts luxury facilities such as saunas, swimming pools and gymnasiums, to provide the best customer service possible.

bmi CEO Nigel Turner also hinted at the possibility that more flights would be announced in the future.
