Zoom Airlines has announced it will be scheduling extra flights from the UK to Canada over the festive period to cope with the anticipated rise in demand.

On December 18th, Zoom will run an extra flight from Manchester Airport via Glasgow to Toronto.

A direct flight to Toronto will also leave London Stansted on December 24th.

Debbie Marshall, UK director of Zoom Airlines, told Travel Daily News: 'With low-cost full scheduled flights direct to Canada, we have made it far more affordable for those with friends and family on the other side of the Atlantic to visit them for the festive season.'

'We have experienced an outstanding volume of bookings for the Christmas and New Year period, especially from regional markets, and we are delighted to be offering these additional flights,' she added.

From February to April, Zoom has also announced its intention to offer extra flights to Toronto, from Gatwick via Cardiff and from Manchester via Glasgow.

To cater for ski enthusiasts, Zoom will also fly from Manchester to Vancouver via Glasgow throughout April.

If you are planning a trip abroad, it is best to arrange your airport hotel and car parking before you go.

Airport hotel accommodation comes in shapes and sizes to suit all budgets and is available in plenty at Gatwick, Stansted, Glasgow and Manchester Airports.
