An airport hotel near Birmingham International Airport is getting a new name and a complete change of face. The Four Points Sheraton will soon become the Best Western Birmingham Airport Hotel.

In 2005, hotel owners Horizon Hospitality LLC converted a Ramada Inn into a Four Points Sheraton at the site on the Messer Airport Highway. Now they will be remodeling that hotel into a Best Western.

The Best Western will have 196 rooms, including four suites, according to a news release put out by Horizon. The hotel will serve a complimentary breakfast and equip all rooms with refrigerators, microwaves and high speed wireless internet connection. The hotel will also feature a restaurant and a lounge. Rooms start at $98 a night.

The newest branch of Best Western at the airport will be the hotel chain's ninth in the Birmingham area, according to the chain's website.

Birmingham International Airport is located just over ten kilometers from the center of Birmingham in the West Midlands of England. It is the sixth busiest airport in the UK and the second busiest outside London, following Manchester Airport. The airport handles a number of domestic flights as well as international routs to Europe, India, the Middle East and North America.
