Agents are seeing increases of as much as 35 per cent on these destinations as compared with the previous season.

The destinations that are proving to be the most popular include Cyprus, Gozo, Tenerife, Lanzarote and the Costa del Sol.

Hoseasons prices villa holidays based on accommodation alone, which means that agents are able to tailor travel packages for their customers. There are over 700 properties to choose from.

Pali Badwal, the operator’s business development director said: “It is clear that people want to get away from all the doom and gloom at home, and will still book a winter break – providing the product and price are right.”

He indicated that the company had geared its offerings to the expectations of its customer base: “The key is flexibility and value: holidaymakers are looking for accommodation with flexible start days and holiday durations, so that their travel agent can source the flights from their local airports which suit their budget and schedule.”

According to Badwal, pricing by the night is quite popular, as opposed to weekly pricing, as it enables the agent of sell specific dates that suit a customer.
