Low-cost hotel chain Pop has opened its newest property at Jakarta airport.

The launch of the new 150-guestroom facility comes via a fresh agreement with Tauzia Hotel Management, according to a press release issued this week. The facility, dubbed the Pop Airport Hotel Jakarta, is located less than five miles from the terminal at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

All budget-minded bedrooms offer wireless internet access, flat screen television and private shower facilities, and the property also features two conference facilities. Officials said the move would cater to the airport’s growing number of passengers, which currently total to more than 45 million annually.

Pop Hotels’ brand director Irene Janti said in a statement that the new property is a highly anticipated venture due to the brand’s success in other Indonesian markets, notably Bali, Yogyakarta and Bandung. She added that the hotel was created to provide customers with quality rooms and meeting facilities in close proximity to Jakarta airport away from the city's heavy traffic.

The move comes amid Tauzia’s expansion effort, in which the company seeks to grow to 30 properties before 2016.
